A MESSAGE FROM LEE ROBINSON

These days there are so many realtors on the scene it is hard to choose one. Your friend may be one , your neighbor, a family member etc. There are a lot of  us to choose from. The process of buying or selling a home is a daunting task in itself, so choosing your agent, while it is the most important part, should not be the most stressful.  You really need to rely on the most basic non scientific methods… YOUR INSTINCTS.  This is actually not based on my opinion, but it is based on various research that was conducted by the National Association of Realtors. (NAR). When asked how people chose their agents, it came down to a few basic personality traits. They were looking for an agent that they felt comfortable with. Someone who they felt had their best interest at heart, and was working their hardest to get them what they wanted. They needed guidance, yet they wanted to feel that they were ultimately the decision makers. The top three ways people found an agent, surprisingly was not throught the internet, but rather through word of mouth and from past experiences with their realtor. When I read this study, I felt so relieved. In this day and age of the Internet, so prevalent in our society, I thought people may loose sight of what is really important in real estate. After all it is still a people business and it always will be. The internet just enhances it, but it does not replace the human aspect, nor should it ever. I would say about 85 -90 percent of my business is based on repeat clients and referrals. I am very proud of that fact. Especially in a time where there are so many realtors out there, people are still choosing me. All of us realtors can basically do the same thing, we all have access to the same listings and the same information. That is why you need to trust your instinct, an find one who really makes you feel like you are being taken care of in all aspects of your real estate transaction. Bottom line is… if you don’t like the way your agent handles your business and if you don’t like the way they speak to you, then they are not right for you. Thank you so much for visiting my website. I hope this helps you in the future.
